The RecTech Youth Media Institute at Delridge Community Center offers year-round internships that provide an overview of digital media. Youth Media interns work to create original media for area nonprofits and community development organizations. They learn the craft of print, digital, audio, and visual storytelling to help serve organizations who contribute to a socially responsible world.
The RecTech Youth Media Institute provides teens with opportunities to gain job skills, to explore creative self-expression and media activism, and to create work focusing on specific issues such as education, politics, art, music, violence prevention, and social justice.
Rain City Voices was created by the RecTech Youth Media Institute’s fall 2012 interns to tell stories and to express themselves using varied digital media platforms.
